North Jersey Christians
It's official. I just got off the phone. I'm back on the dole! Whoo hoo!|
Of course, I'm being slightly facaetious. However, if this doleful time is for the better good, then I'm happy to be on the dole.
I'll, most likely, be meeting up tomorrow afternoon with Father to discuss the possibility of schooling. Tonight, it's the Spanish and English healing masses.
And, just thinking...I have been wanting to do something Christian-like in North Jersey for quite some time now. And, if there is interest, I would love to plan, perhaps, a little prayer-group meeting at St. Anthony's Church. We could do the Office, get some food and wine, and b.s. afterward. It would be a nice evening to talk about Things That Matter. Most people who are in nnj_christians are in my journal anyhow, but I'll cross-post regardless. If this is something you'd like, (AND YOU LIVE IN THE NORTH JERSEY AREA), let me know so I can plan it with Fr. Brian.
And now, I eat left overs, jog, and do 8-minute Abs.
If someone's happy to help get me to St Anthony's, I'd love to take part, but being carless, I'd need help with transport. If you or someone you know is willing to help out in that regard, count me in. :-)
Good luck with your conversations on schooling.
St. Anthony's on 53rd and 5th in NYC?
or another St. Anthony's?
Naw, this is St. Anthony of Padua church in Hackensack, NJ, which is my home parish. You can read more about it here
...How very odd. The best way for me to get there from Hoboken is to take a bus into NYC and then from there take another bus to Hackensack.
Actually, from Hoboken, you're best off taking the Pascack Valley Line to Essex St., then having someone pick you up. The church is around the corner from the station. =)
Pascack Vally Line?
Hmm. This sounds like NJT train service. That frightens me.
Yep, it's NJT. However, the Pascack Valley Line is pretty reliable. The Northeast Corridor Line, on the other hand...less so.
It's pretty easy though--one of the easier of NJT rides.
Actually, yah. Not only is that cheaper, it also takes less time and doesn't require that I cross state lines twice.
Color me in and up for Godly festivities.
I don't know if I count due to age and such (most people don't enjoy discussing Things That Matter with sub-20 year olds), and I don't know if my parents could drive me, but it sounds very cool...
I enjoy discussing Things That Matter with as many people as possible, regardless of age. Right now, though, it would only be about three of us. So, um...I'm still sending feelers out on this one. =)
Firstly, I am sorry that this has taken so long in coming--keeping up with many people online tends to pull me off into 19349324 different directions.
I was very angry at you for quite some time. I felt played, abused, let-down, and used. And, to be frank, I felt incredibly foolish. I had asked many people for prayer in your direction. I was looking online to some directory system, in order to figure out, how to send you help. And, after you told me that your tales were made up...I didn't know what to say.
It's taken awhile, and I do think it is totally genuine, where I can say that I can overlook the past. I forgive you for what you've done...and hope to, one day, chat with you as per usual. (Although, to be frank, I'm never on any chat lines, and soon, I'll barely be on LJ.)
I hope all is well with you, and hope to talk with you soon. I must go, because I am going to be taking a trip this week, and need to pack.
Take care Debs,
